Scott Newman joined SRM Associates in 1998 to help establish and execute SRM Associates' business plan including three primary objectives: 1) to expand the firm's portfolio of owned assets, 2) to provide the highest quality value-added development and consulting services to the commercial real-estate community, and 3) to build a business platform that allows SRM's diverse team of highly qualified development professionals to thrive.

Scott is ever conscious of maintaining SRM’s reputation of exceptional fiduciary perspective. He and Steve Meckfessel have over 50 years combined experience understanding clients' needs. Their expertise includes working diligently to ensure that the facilities plan supports a company’s strategic business objectives.

Scott has been involved in the commercial real estate business since 1982 and has been investing in commercial real estate since 1988. As a senior member of an international real estate services and consulting firm, he obtained valuable experience in all aspects of the development continuum.

Scott earned his B.A. in economics from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. He is a licensed commercial/instrument-rated pilot, a husband and father of three children.
